Adobe Photoshop Express

Adobe Photoshop Express Beta has been released and seems to be following in the tracks of many new implementations of web applications such Aviary and Buzzword. They are currently offering a test drive option so you can go right in a play around, or you can register to get your own little space on there.

It seems like this is going to be a very useful application, it allows you not only to store you images online but also retouch them (and more). Adobe has included all of the standard functionality of online photo gallery application, including slide-shows and captions. They have also included a bunch of useful editing tools to touch up your photos. All-in-all it is a great direction and I have a feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

HeadShave Canada : Shaving My Head

MeI have been receiving notices lately of several family friends and neighbours from back in the Toronto area that have recently been diagnosed with cancer. I know that over the past while cancer has affected a great number of us very closely. I have decided that I would really like to do all that I can to support cancer research because I understand that it is a very important cause. As such, I have decided to join HeadShave Canada and the Alberta Cancer Foundations efforts by getting my head shaved on March 26.

I would like to ask anyone and everyone to sponsor me in my efforts. I am pasting a link to the sponsorship page below, if you decide that you would like to sponsor me, there is a large button on the page that can be clicked to donate online.

Sprout Builder – Create Living Content

I just stumbled across a potentially useful little online application called Sprout Builder. I am going to try and find some time to play around with. While writing this little posting, I have taken 5 minutes to compile my first little Sprout app and have included it in the posting, it is very simple and could prove to be extremely useful.

CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions

CSS MasteryWell, I just read through the CSS Mastery book and discovered just how much CSS has changed since I was using it to add basic styles to sites just 5 years ago. I have tried to keep up-to-date as much as possible but this book opened my eyes to a whole world of possibilities with CSS that I never knew existed.

I found that the book provided a solid base knowledge for CSS and gave links and way to find any further information that I may need when developing future sites. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that feels they need a refresher on CSS or would like to start properly coding CSS from scratch.

you can get it at most book stores, here is the link on amazon
